PWANI USANII:WHO IS BEST FIRE??

BEST FIRE:Lyndon Best, aka Best Fire, is a new vibrant energetic performer born and raised in the beautiful sunny island of Trinidad & Tobago.

PWANI USANII: YOU WERE BORN AND RAISED IN TRINIDAD,HOW DID YOU END UP IN THE US?

BEST FIRE:While growing up in Trinidad,I used to travel to the U.S. on vacations with family members. Currently, I live in New York City, Brooklyn.

PWANI USANII:HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN DOING MUSIC?

BEST FIRE:I've been writing my own songs for the past 7 years, while trying to land some recording time. 

PWANI USANII:THERES A LOT OF DIVERSITY IN YOUR MUSIC GENRE, WHATS YOUR SECRET ?

BEST FIRE: I do building of my own rhythms, singing the island's type of music, soca, ragga soca , dancehall, reggae and anything else that comes to my creative mind.Thats the secret I can share.



PWANI USANII:TELL US ABOUT SOME OF THE PERFORMANCES YOU EVER DID.

BEST FIRE:I have performed in several hip-hop showcases in Manhattan, NYC. A medley version of three songs (Oil in a bucket, S.E.X., and Fame) from one of these performances was recorded onto a DVD, by Japanese promoter Choco of Ace Promotions. Four of his songs were requested by Canadian DJ, Reality Sounds International. Oil in a Bucket, Never Know, Fame, and Trinidad Roadblock all received airplay at the Caribana Street Festival 2007 in Toronto, Canada. I have also been on the underground circuit for a while too.

PWANI USANII: WHICH PRODUCERS HAVE YOU WORKED WITH?

BEST FIRE:I've been doing a lot of work with a number of different producers such as Michelle Williams first female producer in the soca industry of Catalyst Studios NYC, where he did his first recording .I have worked on a track from producer Nikholai Greene of Precision Productions NYC and with Kalamo Pierre of Callie Productions of Staten Island .

PWANI USANII:WHICH PRODUCER ARE YOU CURRENTLY WORKING WITH?

BEST FIRE: I'm currently working with producer Jesse John of Chunky ProRecords from Trinidad & Tobago . 

PWANI USANII:Do you listen to Kenyan music and which artist do you know from Kenya?

BEST FIRE:Yes I do listen to Kenyan music sometimes,but don't know them by name.

PWANI USANII: DOES YOUR MUSIC GET PLAYED ON THE US MAINSTREAM MEDIA?


BEST FIRE:Yeah it does,I made new musical connection through internet radio from in in NYC, Canada and Globally, with a number of hit songs like "In The Line".. "Trod Along".. PWANI USANII: WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON CURRENTLY?

BEST FIRE:I have a number of TV and radio interviews booked by my manager and promoter Tracy Christie and a numbwr of perfomances too.
been doing his musical works in studio as well and have a couple of new releases soon for all to hear and buy. 

PWANI USANII: Which acts would you like to work with in Africa?

BEST FIRE:I would like to collaborate with Timaya and producer Don Jazzy.

PWANI USANII: WHO INSPIRES YOU MUSICALLY?

BEST FIRE:Firstly the almighty..... then man mom and dad and also Who inspired me from the great soca artists from Trinidad Kitchener, Sparrow, Calypso Rose, Machel Montano, Benjai, Bunji Garlin, Super Blue, from Jamaica, Sizzla, Capelton, Anthony B, Busy Signal, Bounty Killa, Beenie Man, list can go on.
..........what gives me the inspiration also is the drive that I have to succeed and let the world hear the messages I have to put across to the world, and see the way the crowd anywhere I perform feels and responds to my music and and appreciate what I distribute in my performances.

Best Fire was also with the carnival band Suga Candy Mas that presented Whispers band for the West Indian Day Parade in NYC on September 5 where he sang his soca song "Bam Bam" in front of millions of people who attened the event thanks to Maxine Magdaleno and her team DJ Flyboi, Kingpin from King Addies Music Group, Best Fire has now worked with Jamaican producer Hevoy Walker the Meddi Maker who built the meddi riddim wich includes big name reggae acts such as Junior Reid, Anthony B, Bascom X, Chezidek, Jimmey Riley, Little Hero, Turbulance and others he and Mr. Walker as he is now known as has worked on a new dancehall riddim called Juicy Riddim for the track titled "Step It Out" written by Best Fire which has been getting good feedback from the dancer groups girls and guys in Jamaica. Also to other listening ears who hears the song hopefully it will start a new dancehall wave soon enough, Best Fire is always working.
