The Exhibitor - Made in Mombasa:
Its The First Dance Movie done in Mombasa, Kenya.
It helps explains and shows what dancers go through in their everyday
life, the challenges they face from parents, the pressure and influence
from fellow youths to engage themselves on drugs and substance abuse.
The other main challenge is that the talent is being ignored/ not
appreciated in the society, hence being used to hype and spice Events in
which at the end of the day some unscrupulous Events
Organizers/Managers pockets all the returns of the event leaving dancers
wasted, used and these are people who have to pay for the halls/ rooms
that they use for practice, they need some cash to make the colourful
and attractive costumes based on their performance and all in all they
got BILLS TO PAY. Because nobody who wakes up everyday to go to work
will feel good to be used by the manager to achieve organizational goals
only to realize they have not been paid for their SWEAT and HARD WORK.
This dance movie has been done by the Mombasa dancers using their own
limited resources and money at least to inspire and encourage any youth
in Kenya that whichever talent one may have He/She should not loose
hopes. One should think out of the box, work smart and harder because I
always believe that "If you are not willing to take a risk then you dont
want it bad enough and IT IS NOT THE POSITION YOU STAND, BUT THE
DIRECTION IN WHICH YOU LOOK."
Dont miss out on the next movie project "THE DARK ARENA"
Its time for us to have a place of our own and everybody is welcome to
join.....
