early 90s the table changed.Congo,Tanzania,Uganda and Nigeria. Have made it musical than we Kenyans. The big question is.. What went wrong??... Diamond platinums is a very hard working artist and he has a great teamwork behind his musical success. When diamond did the kesho video with ogopa djz in Kenya,it bosted him very much n it did very well n tz n Kenya as will. Haven't we noticed our impact?? Which artist in Kenya can we compare with diamond?? We can't deny in Kenya we have stars but we can't compare them with artists like davido,wizkid,yemi alade,diamond,chamileon, radio n wissle n more. The next big question is.. Is music in Kenya a promising multimillionaire job to the real talents???.
Most artist have only fame but no money and proper investments to sustain them... What went wrong??? What is the biggest challenge that pulls us back???
For music producers.. Music is a white collar job but a cassava n kachiri vendor next to a primary school has a big income than a music producer Here in Coast, is music a job,career or just entertainment???
Am writing this not that am complaining but I blve deep inside what am saying is very true. And if you don't blv just do a follow up through this guidens.
